We started spring break by celebrating Abby's birthday. She is 10 this year. Her favorite thing to do to celebrate her birthday is roller skate. We all met at the skating rink and ate cake too. Katie made this amazing cake for her. It is a purse with all the contents as well. All the girls have put in their orders for duplicates on their birthdays.

Anna and her daddy in their Easter outfits. Ok so Brad's outfit isn't really an Easter outfit, but they both look great! Anna wore her Easter dress the Sunday before Easter because Easter Sunday is General Conference.

Monday we went hiking. It was supposed to be the nicest day of the week so we decided to hike up Red Hill. The kids always ask me what those columns are up on the hill and if you can get to them. I have promised them we would do this for years, and I finally kept my promise. I think they were a little disappointed with how short the hike was. It looks a lot higher up from the road below. The wind was blowing and it wasn't very warm so it is probably a good thing it was a short hike.

We went skiing on Tuesday. We gave the kids the option of skiing wherever they wanted to go. They chose their favorite ski resort - Pomerelle. The weather was really bad, but we all had a lot of fun anyway. The kids are under the deck on the lodge in this picture. The power went out while we were eating lunch and so of course the lifts weren't working. Once the power went back on we made one run but the snow was coming down so hard it was almost a whiteout. It started thundering and lightning so they closed the runs again. This happened several more times, but every time they started up we went up the lift and did another run. Anna, Luke and I both did our first black diamond runs. It was really fun, but I think I will stick to my easy relaxing runs.

We went to the movies and saw "How to Train Your Dragon" on Wednesday. Alex met us in Idaho Falls and went with us. It was a cute movie. Thursday the kids went and played with their cousins at Grandma L's. Friday we hung around the house, and today we have enjoyed watching conference. It has been a great week and I am really sad to see it come to an end. Monday back to school and work. :-(
